Well I live in Lake County Ohio and they have rebanded all of northern Ohio. My Radio only gets old systems now and nothing trunked.
It is sad to think that this scanner is scrap as we know it. Great service over the last 12 yrs.
For those that don't live in part of a trunked system its still a great radio.

Scrap? The only system types that will no longer work are Motorola
analog trunk systems. Everything else will still work fine.

If you have come here to find out about the 250D you have come to the right place! In fact the discussion of the BC-250D and how it works is the only acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the BC-250D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..Yahoo! Groups Links

I am in the Florida Keys and ran into the same situation. True it will not trunk rebanded but I loaded all of the freq ino the scanner and just let it scan (not trunk). After it stoped on the control channel, I just locked the control channel out. Where the system is not a heavely loaded system, it workes just fine. have it running beside 2 runking scanners and it is comparabe.
